Sunday Service – Mothering Sunday

22nd March 2020

Welcome to our First Online Sunday Service at Llanelwy Community Church.  Today is Mother’s Day (Mothering Sunday). So a special welcome today to all the extra-special mums and to all those extra-special people who love, care for and nurture others in that mothering role.  Special thanks to Phil Jump, NWBA Regional Team Leader, who has recorded a video sermon for us for today.

Please phone John (07931150697) or Phil (Adey) if you’re struggling to get this working. We won’t get it all right first time, so please bear with us. We also hope to get a bit more tech-savy and add exciting items for the future – so hopefully that’ll be a blessing for everyone too. Please send us feedback and we’ll endeavor to improve.

Feel free to use this service whenever you want. However, the idea is that, if you can, you go through this at 10:30 on Sunday. Then at 11:30, we’ll ring each other, or do a messenger-group-chats together (or however you do online chats!) and generally catch up with one another.

Please click on each item and read, or listen to the item, then when you are finished, come back to this page and click on the next item.

We give special thanks today for mothers, and for all those who care for others and nurture others in the role of mothers. We are humbled and inspired as we reflect on the sacrificial love shown by mothers every day. We pray for your blessing on all those who are mothering others in many different ways today. That you would strengthen them and guide them by your Holy Spirit. That your love would flow through them and remain in them today, and forever as they seek to act as channels of your love and grace.

And …

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Now, and for evermore. Amen.

Please ring each other and/or message each other to encourage and bless one-another.

On Sunday evening (22nd March), there is a call to prayer for the nation across all denominations. There is a Baptist Church national event online broadcast at 7pm as part of this which you can join using the link below.
