Easter Sunday online Family Service

Feel free to use this service whenever you want. However, the idea is that, if you can, you go through this at 10:30 on Sunday. During this, (after an item) please add a comment on our facebook page to encourage a feeling of togetherness. Or send us a comment of Easter Greetings if you’ve done this at another time.  At 11:45 on Easter Sunday, we’ll have a zoom meeting at https://zoom.us/j/906323864. If you click on this link now, you can download the zoom client (which is free) ready.  Or you can dial in using the numbers below.  If none of that works for you, please simply ring other people in the congregation or do a messenger-group-chats together (or however you do online chats!) encourage one-another and generally catch up with one another.

Please click on each item and read, or listen to the item, then when you are finished, come back to this page and click on the next item.

Service for 2020-04-11: Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! (Watch here)

Welcome to our Easter Service!  This service is about celebrating that Jesus has risen from the dead and is alive in our hearts today.  If you don’t know Jesus very well and are interested to find out more, a special welcome!  I really hope this you find this to be an interesting and wonderful experience.   If you’d like to know more about Jesus, please write to me, John at minster@llcc.org.uk or text or call me on 07931150697.  I’d love to chat more to you about Jesus.  About his awesome holiness revealed to us, his mercy made available for us, his forgiveness made possible for us, and his peace manifested in us.

All-age online

This service is different from our other online services,  We’ve attempted an all-age online service.  In that, hopefully there is something for everyone across all ages.

There are also links to more Easter family resources online which tell the story of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection and help us to reflect on those at the end of this page.

To take part in today’s service, you’re going to need to get Colouring sheets and bread and wine.

Please also download and print a colouring sheet or two so that the children have an activity while you listen to or watch  today’s (slightly shorter) sermon.

Colouring sheets

Colouring aimed at teens:

No crayons or pens?  Do some online colouring here which you can print at the end.

You’ll also need some bread and some Ribena or summer fruits or perhaps some wine.  I’m going to be taking bread and wine, so please have some bread and wine ready so that you can join in too when you get to that point.

I’ll let you run and get those.  When you’re ready, continue below.

Call to Worship (watch here)

I hope you’ve got all the things ready.  So here we go.  I’m going to say He is risen.  Then you join in out loud and say with me, He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!

–       He is risen, He is risen indeed.  Hallelujah!

–       He is risen, He is risen indeed.  Hallelujah!

Easter Prayers and Communion (watch here – and text below)

For all those who are suffering, or grieving.  Lord Jesus, bring new life we pray

For all those who are tired, lonely, frustrated or struggliing.  Lord Jesus, bring new life we pray

In our nation and in the world Lord – overcome this virus, this illness.  Lord Jesus, bring new life we pray

In our own lives whatever our situation.  Lord Jesus, bring new life we pray

1 John 1v9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus, your body was broken to make us whole and set us free from the power of sin.

So we could know the fullness of your love and serve you in newness of life.

We chose to live for you and we eat this bread to remember.

Thank you Jesus

We remember you Lord Jesus

Jesus your blood was shed so we could be fully forgiven and set free from guilt and shame.

So we could know the fullness of your love and serve you in newness of life.

We ask you to forgive us and cleanse us and we drink this wine to remember.

Thank you Jesus

We remember you Lord Jesus
