Big bowl Christianity

‘The lost are found, the blind will see, the lame will walk, the deaf will hear and you are God – forever you will reign.’ What fantastic words to a brilliant song, just found on my new Hillsong CD. They echo Jesus’ words to His disciples of what would happen as they followed His instruction to, ‘Go to every village, town and city telling everyone about the glorious love mercy and power of the Son of God.

And guess what? Those are His words to us today, his 21st century disciples, the church, including here at LLCC. That’s big bowl Christianity (see picture above)

Come on Church, let’s pick up the standard of Jesus and go and declare Him, demonstrate Him because He is with us, He is for us and all of us can do all things in Him who is able to do more than we can ever ask or imagine. Why don’t we live Christianity and church in the bigger bowl!

Let’s not despair when we Google BBC News, or see what’s happening in our community, instead let us demonstrate our faith is real in the risen, triumphant, all conquering King of kings who is coming back soon! Not for a weak & weedy church hiding behind a sofa of theology and traditions but for a church of men and women, teenagers and children who are full of faith and confidence in their Saviour. And not because of who they are or what they have done but all because of who He is and what he has done. He’s coming back for big bowl Christians!

Here at LLCC we believe Jesus is alive, giving hope for the present and certainty for the future, empty cross empty grave – price paid victory won. Big Bowl Saviour!
